Happy Valentines’ Day!
I’ve been loving making these adorable hearts designed by Lauren from Daisy Cottage Designs lately! Made of cotton yarn, these are so great for the kitchen because they are absorbent and machine washable and dryable. You can scrub dishes, wipe down the counters, or use as a coaster or trivet for a hot pot. We stack our pots and pans in the cabinet, so I like to stick them in between to keep the pots from scratching one another.
They also look adorable hung up as a banner!
I’ve been working on adding some new listings to my Etsy shop. (You may have noticed the new Etsy shop button here on the blog!). You can order some for yourself or a friend today for $6 ea.! Spread some love around!

This pattern is a bit advanced for new crocheters. But if you are feeling ambitious, you will need to know your basics: chain (ch), slip stitch(ss), single crochet(sc), double crochet(dc), and half double crochet (hdc) plus: working in the round, treble crochet (tc)stitch, and half treble(htc). If you are good with double crochet and half double, you can certainly learn treble and half treble very quickly. See the video section HERE on Chain Heart to review some of your basics. You can find wonderful sc, dc, and tc tutorials and more wonderful free patterns and inspiration HERE from one of my favorite crochet bloggers Tamara Kelly at Moogly.
