This project could be adapted many different ways.
Make it a necklace: wrap around 5 or 6 times (instead of 15) and then finish off.
Customize your piece: thread on beads or sew on buttons, bows, charms or applique flowers on the wrap portion of the scarf.
Make it a Headband: Simply make enough chain to wrap around your head 2-5 times (instead of 15 times around your neck). Then you can tie the ends together or do a smaller chain wrap (10-15 ch instead of 100 ch) to cover the knot.
You could also make chain bracelets. If you want to go the bracelet route, here’s a free pattern and tutorial from Craftaholics. I love how that wood button looks.
Once you are comfortable with your chains and you can get them to be a consistent size, you are ready to move on to the single crochet stitch.
